In this first session, knitting expert Jen Lucas reviews all the materials you’ll need in order to knit a pair of worsted weight socks. Jen also discusses the basic construction of the sock, as well as yarn and gauge considerations for your sock knitting adventure.

There are lots of options for heels when knitting socks. In this session, Jen teaches you her favorite heel: the German Short Row Heel. She walks you through the entire heel process step-by-step.
Jen shows you just how simple it is to knit the foot of your sock. She also shares her expertise on how to measure the foot of your sock in order to have a proper fit.
Jen explains everything you need to know to finish your top-down sock. She works the toe decreases, followed by the Kitchener stitch to close up the toe without a seam. She shares her tips on how to remember the steps of the Kitchener stitch and finishes the session by weaving in the ends of her sock.
In this bonus session, Jen discusses how to eliminate a gap at the heel of your sock. It’s not always necessary to pick up extra stitches when working the heel, but if you do have a little gap, Jen shows you how to fix it.

In this class, sock knitter Jen Lucas walks you through her favorite way to knit socks – top-down with the magic loop method, using a single long circular needle instead of double-pointed needles. She begins with reviewing the basic construction of a sock and demonstrates how to work a loose cast-on to start the sock. She shows you just how easy it is to work the magic loop method and shares her tips and tricks for working the technique when knitting socks.

Throughout the class, Jen shares her expertise on how to customize the sock any way you like. She shows you the German short row heel, and finishes the sock with Kitchener stitch. Jen also discusses sock yarn and how to properly measure a sock to fit the recipient.
