When Kathy McGee graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design, she began designing apparel and accessories for large retail companies. But it was her love of textiles, handicrafts and bicycling that drove her to start her own sewing pattern and fabric design company, Hemma Design. Now, Kathy draws her inspiration from Scandinavian design and uses that inspiration to create accessories that put the fun in functional.
