In this session, we’ll go over all the recipes covered in this class.
The class starts with Tuna Noodle Casserole, a time-honored favorite. This hearty casserole features soft egg noodles and tender tuna, basking in a satiny, garlicky homemade cream sauce. To bring the dish to the 21st century (while adding tremendous flavor), we fold in roasted red peppers, green peas, and fresh parsley. There’s more! The casserole is blanketed with parmesan-spiked panko breadcrumbs, which deliver a cheesy, toasty crunch to every bite.
Next, we’ll craft a TV dinner favorite – Salisbury Steak. These perfectly caramelized, ultra-flavorful beef patties are pan-seared until browned and then braised in a luxurious mushroom gravy. This iconic meal of yesteryear has been revamped and perfected, and you can enjoy it with ease any night of the week.
Our next classic dish is Chicken and Dumplings, a creamy, satisfying stew boasting roasted chicken, savory vegetables, and a crown of fluffy dumplings. Made in one pot and ready in about 30 minutes, this easy, nourishing meal will surely become a part of your regular dinner rotation.
Few things are cherished more than the classic combination of Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese. The sandwich is buttery, the soup is tangy, and it’s a match made in gastronomic heaven. If you’ve been craving the ultimate soup-sandwich combo, look no further. In this class, we will uncover the cheesiest, toastiest grilled cheese, and the creamiest, brightest tomato soup.
We finish this class with a retro dessert – Pineapple Upside Down Cake. This wholly cherished dessert features ultra-moist vanilla cake studded with sticky-sweet, caramelized pineapple and maraschino cherries. It’s an excellent way to finish the class.
