And the candy bars must be frozen hard—not just a few hours in the freezer but at least overnight, preferably for more than 24 hours. These bars don’t have the standard, “batter- style” coating of those you’ll find at state fairs. That sort of batter slips off them in an air fryer and makes a royal mess.
